In short. Educational tools, not financial advice. Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss. No performance is
claimed or implied; backtested and simulated results are hypothetical. Automated tools place real orders: test on simulation first. You are
responsible for every trade.
All MGEQuant products and content
- Educational and informational tools only. Nothing in our products, documentation, videos, newsletter or website is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell anything, or a solicitation. MGEQuant is not registered as an investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, dealer or broker with any regulator (including the CFTC/NFA in the United States or any Canadian securities regulator).
- Trading futures and other leveraged products involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than your initial deposit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
- No performance is claimed or implied. Past results, backtests and simulated trades do not predict future results.
- You are responsible for every trading decision and for any order placed on your account, whoever or whatever placed it.
- Third-party software and data. Our software runs inside NinjaTrader 8 and uses your own data feed and, for the AI Desk, your own AI provider. We are not affiliated with NinjaTrader, your broker, your data or AI provider, or any prop firm, and are not responsible for their outages, data errors, rule changes or decisions.
- Provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, as set out in the Terms of Service.
Indicators and the journal
- Indicators draw on your chart and never place orders. What they show is not a prediction or a recommendation.
- Journal statistics describe your own past trades. Win rate is only meaningful next to the size of wins and losses, which is why we show expectancy in R beside it.
Automated trading, including the MGE AI Desk
Automated software places real orders on the account it is attached to, without asking you first.
- Hypothetical performance. HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER- OR OVER-COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.
- No proven edge. An AI model or automated rule has not shown a statistically reliable edge after costs unless its release notes say so, and it may lose money.
- Start on simulation. The AI Desk trades a simulation account first, and live trading stays locked until it has a clean simulation record. Turning live trading on is your decision and your responsibility.
- AI decisions. AI models can be wrong, inconsistent or unavailable. The AI Desk acts on the model and settings you choose.
- Execution risk. Real fills differ from simulations: slippage, partial fills, rejected or cancelled orders, gaps, fast markets, exchange halts and roll dates. Internet, computer, platform, data-feed, AI-provider or broker failures can leave a position unprotected or open. Never leave automated trading unattended without a broker-side stop and a way to flatten.
- Settings are yours. Changing size, risk limits, sessions, accounts or any other setting changes the risk.
- Prop firm and broker rules. Some prop firms and brokers restrict or prohibit automated trading or specific behaviour. Check their current rules before enabling automation on a funded or evaluation account; a rule breach can close the account.
- Stop when in doubt. Use Flatten to close the position and stop the desk.
